Hotel Queen’s Stockholm - The Review

The Queen's Hotel in Stockholm.

Hotel Queen’s Stockholm is a friendly-priced hotel in an old house on Drottninggatan, the city’s main shopping street.

It’s not only a great location for shopping fans: Sergels Torg, central station and Gamla Stan are all within walking distance. There are not many hotels with a better location.

Entering the building is a bit like going back in time, with an old elevator (one with an iron gate) and a wide spiral staircase. Even the lounge and the breakfast room have a touch of nobility.

The rooms are OK, but nothing special: basic but clean. The one I stayed in had a view over the yard. Not too exciting, but quiet. It is hard to imagine you are in one of the busiest streets of Stockholm.

When I stayed at the Queen's I only had a shower – the toilet was in the corridor – but they also have a good number of rooms with fully equipped bathrooms.

Despite its excellent location and good facilities Hotel Queen’s Stockholm is one of the cheapest hotels in Stockholm. Warmly recommended if you want to save your money for other purposes.
