Kom Hotel in Stockholm - The Review

Room in the Kom Hotel Stockholm.

The Kom hotel in Stockholm was the one I stayed in on my first trip to the Swedish capital.

It lies on a small and narrow street, close to the busy Sveavägen from where you easily get to Sergels Torg and its surrounding shops.

The lady at the reception first seemed an example of Swedish cool – kind but not able to smile – but her service was immaculate.

When I booked the room through the phone I thought I would get a discount because of my Best Western card.

However, when I got there the receptionist said the card was not valid on the date I arrive – which turned out to be true when I took a closer look. Nevertheless, she believed me when I told her that I had assumed otherwise and still gave me the discount!

The room was not a disappointment. Spacious, clean and decorated with warm colors. The breakfast buffet was good, but not special.

The Kom hotel in Stockholm is not cheap outside the tourist season. However, in summer rates are acceptable and given its pretty central location, it’s a place you should consider when visiting the Swedish capital.
