Stockholm Restaurants: Ahlens City, Sergels Torg

I travel a lot to Stockholm and I often eat at the Ahlens City department store. Plenty of choice and great value for money!
This is one of many Stockholm restaurants in the city center. You can find it where Drottninggatan, Klarabergsgatan and Sergels Torg come together.
Inside there are several places where you can eat, three I believe: one for a quick snack in the basement, one at the second floor and one at the top floor. Especially the one at the second floor, which was recently renewed, is one I can recommend.
There are everyday specials at friendly prices. I paid 79 SEK when I was there the last time and this includes a drink. You can choose Swedish traditional food, meat dishes, an exotic meal, a dish for children. Most of it is prepared in front of your eyes. Great to know the cook does not stick his finger in the sauce :-)
I have eaten salmon with potatoes in dill sauce and a salad and it was delicious. The other day I went to the taco buffet. Great sauce! They also have a large vegetarian buffet where you can put as much on your plate as you wish.
When you have paid you can get seated in a large and stylishly decorated dinner room. There you will find another counter this time with pastries and the inevitable Swedish coffee.
Ahlens City (I must write Åhlens really, but I am not sure if the first letter holds) is busy, but up to now I have always found an empty table.
Perhaps it is not done to recommend the restaurant of a department store, but you do get great value for money and in the end that is what matters.
