Stockholm Weather: Warm, Dry And Sunny In Summer

How's the Stockholm weather today? We'll tell you.

Below you'll find real-time reports with temperatures in Fahrenheit and Celsius, provided by one of the leading weather web sites.

One thing is for certain: the climate in Sweden and its capital is much better than most people think.

I still remember when I was about to relax in the park of the city hall. Suddenly the rain poured down, for about 15 minutes. Then the sun returned.

I had spent altogether about thirty days in Sweden, and it was my first rain shower.

O.K., all these thirty days I had spent up to then were in summer, but let me tell you this: thirty summer days without rain are very, very rare where I live. And my home is 1,500 kilometres to the south.

Summers in Sweden are just great. In that time of the year the Stockholm weather is perfect for exploring a city.

Rainfall is moderate, while temperatures are never too high and never too low and thanks to its northern location the sun stays out long in summer.

Winter is a less favorable time to visit the Swedish capital from a meteorological point of view. With temperatures below 32° F (0° C) it feels pretty cold and it's not always a pleasure to make long walks.

But... the city also offers stunning views in winter. You can skate on the frozen lake Mälaren and enjoy the snow-white roofs of the old town.

So whenever you go, the Stockholm weather always holds a surprise.
